Adoration of the Christ Child

Artist Unknown

 ca. 1515

An unknown understudy of the brillinat Dutch artist Jan Joeset of Kelkar used dramatic lighting effects to draw attention to the Baby Jesus in this painting from the early 1500's. While the technique alone makes the original oil painting of the Nativity a worthy piece of art, the artist also included an angel and shepherd who appear to have down syndrome. This unique touch reminds us of the beauty of all human lives, for Christ was born to save all men and women. This Renaissance masterpiece is currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, New York.

With a classic gold frame that adds style in any room, this artwork is the perfect gift for your family and friends. See this in your home, reminding you of the beauty of the Christmas message: Christ has come! Printed and framed by local workers in Steubenville, OH.

16th Century Nativity, “all are welcome”

Posted by Cyndie t on Nov 23rd 2017

Worth several times more than your price. It is truly beautiful. A reminder that Jesus Christ came for everyone. The angels first proclaimed His birth to night shift workers with their flocks. That some of the worshippers look different is a beautiful reminder that He loves and calls us all. Our daughter who has Downs Syndrome can see that all are welcome.

    Inclusive Nativity, 16th Century

“All are welcome to meet their Savior, Christ Jesus.” The night shift workers, tending their flocks, the people who may look different from us. We’ve adopted two special people with Down’s syndrome into our family. One daughter will be 30 on December 18th, the other went to her heavenly home at age 19 months. This beautiful reproduction is worth many times more than you charged. The frame alone, is much more lovely than I expected. Thank you.
